World Photography League Awards

Photography wasn’t something I intentionally made my passion - it just happened over time. I’ve always loved exploring new places, and along the way, I started capturing the world with my camera. It’s not about chasing light or perfect shots. For me, it’s about experiencing the world. Iceland has always been a special place for me. Fifteen visits later, it still manages to surprise me. There, you can literally experience all four seasons in a single day. And it’s not just Iceland that fuels my wanderlust - I’ve traveled through Germany (Bavaria, Saxon Switzerland, Sylt, Rügen, Harz), Austria, Portugal (Azores, Madeira), Switzerland, and Norway, finding beauty in every place I visit. I started shooting with an Olympus OM-D E-M10, and while I loved it, eventually, I felt it was time for something new. That’s when I switched to the Sony A7 II, and after an unfortunate dip in a river during one of my trips, I upgraded to the Sony A7 IV. I’ve had great experiences with both Sony and Olympus, and each has shaped my photography in its own way. Editing is where I truly get to shape the mood I want to capture. Sometimes, it’s just a few small tweaks to bring the photo to life. Other times, I spend hours in Lightroom. If there’s something in the frame that doesn’t belong, I clean it up in Photoshop. But I always try to keep it natural - editing is about finding that balance between what I see and what I want to share. I don’t have a set philosophy about photography. I just go wherever I find beauty and try to capture it. If my photos make you want to visit these places, then I’m happy.
